Ruchi & Abhishek
Ruchi is Punjabi and Abhishek is Malayali. They both fell in love, but the wedding was arranged and organized by the family in Bangalore. The responsibility was vehemently shared by MyShaadiwale when the bride’s father approached MyShaadiwale. The theme for the Sangeet was chosen as “Singh is King” and “Chennai Express”. The bride’s father mentioned that it would be a destination wedding, where the guest would arrive from various part of the world like USA, Dubai, England etc.
Design and Décor –
Great ideas evolve over a cup of coffee. That’s exactly what happened when the designers of MyShaadiwale had gone for a cup of coffee and spotted an arch of flower at an entrance of a South Indian Restaurant. With traditional flower decorations, temple bells were attached at the end of the marigold hangings. The function started with Mehendi, then followed by Sangeet and Wedding. The Mehendi function was done in the bride’s residence. The colour theme for Mehendi was yellow and Orange, hence, all the things were arranged as per the theme. The orange and yellow “Gaddas”, were selected to synchronize well with the decoration. The flower decoration was done all in yellow and orange Marigold. At the lawn of the bride’s residence umbrellas with flowers were put up. The Sangeet and wedding was organised at Royal Orchid, HAL that had a clear view of Golf Course. Geoffrey and Season Lawns of Royal Orchid were booked for the functions. The greatest challenge was to replicate a Gurudwara, amidst the lawn of Royal Orchid, HAL. The decorations were arranged as all in White, Pink Carnations, Red Roses and Rajanigandha – Polianthes Tuberose. The beautiful floral structure above the “Bedi” was something quite unique to a normal Gurudwara wedding. It was in complete white with the decoration of White, Pink Carnations, Red Roses and Rajanigandha – Polianthes Tuberose. There was an entry tunnel made at the entrance to the lawn with Rajanigandha – Polianthes Tuberose. The climate was shimmering hot and so Chinese Umbrellas were put up at the food counter, serving the functionality of food being protected from the sunlight, as well as ensuring the décor of the food tables. The seating areas in the lawn were covered by White and Pink drapes. A big Rangoli was prepared with Tea lights that illuminated the Sangeet evening. In the evening from Lobby to Lawn, the entry passage was well decorated into a Flower Lobby. It was decorated with Carnation and Chandeliers made up of flowers were hung from the ceiling.
Music and Entertainment
Music and the entertainment is a major factor for all functions and weddings. So there was arrangement for Saxophone being played during the “Sangeet”. DJ Vicky was invited for Mehendi and DJ Jasmeet graced the occasion for Sangeet. India’s finest Bar Mixologist Avlon, was invited to take charge of the Bar section. The international Mixologists were invited as well. “LED Dhols” were played at night to add bright and vibrant effect at night. Widely and Internationally acclaimed photographer Claude captured some significant and everlasting memories of the grand day. Body Craft partnered with us to take care of guest grooming all as well.
Hospitality and Management
There were a few strict instructions from the family members of the bride that as long as their “Granthi” will be seating behind the “Bedi”, with the holy book none of the guest would be allowed to consume and served alcohol. It was after the completion of all the rituals that alcohol will be served and consumed by the guests. The family of the bride ensured that their traditional values were not changed and so Punjabi traditional folk wedding song “Din Shagna Da” was played during the bride’s entrance. The MSW wedding helpdesk was arranged so that the guests could be informed about the upcoming events, to resolve any concerns, arrange for their mobility and for other important announcements. On the day of the wedding, there was a taxi strike and the transportation was heavily affected. MyShaadiwale ensured that this did not cause a hindrance to the wedding and on that day only the vehicles of MyShaadiwale were deployed to run on the streets of Bangalore. Imagine how tedious and complex the arrangement would be if the guest after day long activity and consumption of alcohol will least be in a mood to do anything but you have to politely convince them to reach to the church on time for the wedding arrangement from the grooms family. MyShaadiwale performed their duties and responsibilities by going beyond expected protocols. They moved an extra mile to take the situation under their control and ensure the safety of the guests. The guests were not even aware of the anxiety of the strike and the commute was smooth. The travel desk and SMS notifications arranged the pickup and drop of the guests to the venue on time. Ruchi’s dream man arrived on a white horse at Royal Orchid for the “Baraat”, followed by a church Wedding from the Groom’s family. As the Priest pronounced them “Husband and Wife” they headed towards a new life in a Vintage Car – Adam Carolla, arranged by MyShaadiwale.
